Notes	Enlisted in Co. A on Aug. 12, 1902. Date of discharge? He enlisted in Co. B on Sept. 15, 1917, under Captain J. M . Fox. He was promoted to Sergeant in Co. F in Jan. 1918, transferred back to Co. B in Dec. 1918, and again transferred to Co. C in Jan. 1919, at which time he was reduced to Private. He resigned the Rangers in July 1920 in order to become Sheriff of Presidio County. He served in that role for several years. Eventually he re-enlisted as Captain of Company A on Jan. 19, 1933 and was discharged Jan. 24, 1935.
