Charlie Norris enlisted as a Private in Frontier Battalion Co. F under Capt. T. L. Oglesby on Sept. 1, 1881. Lt. C. B. McKinney took command of the company in late 1882 or early 1883, before Lt. Joe Shely took command and then became Capt. in 1884. Norris remained in that company until he was dishonorably discharged on Nov. 3, 1884, for unspecified reasons. |
