Description |
Colt Walker revolver, .44 cal. with a 9 inch barrel, weighs 4 lbs 9 oz, one piece wood grip, and brass trigger guard. Manufactured in 1847. Serial number matching on all parts. The letters "IXL" are cut into the bottom of the grip along with stippling in the shape of a heart. There is an additional design on the bottom of the grip and at the base of the back strap which appears to depict handcuffs. These appear to be period alterations. Markings "B Company No. 143" on gun barrel and frame. |
