Description |
Smith & Wesson .38 caliber Special revolver. Reads "38 S.&W. Special" on the barrel, which has been cut off down to the sight, about 1.25 inches. Hammer has been filed off so that it is a double action (see folder for details). There is also some reddish-pink substance along the sight. Brown checkered wood grips. SN# 335842 on butt (and cylinder and underside of barrel) and #46319 inside frame. Supposedly taken from Bonnie Parker by McLennan Co. jailer in 1930. |
