Colt Single Action Army Prewar Model .45 cal. revolver. Special made for Tom Hickman by the Colt Manufacturing Company, manufactured 1921, the year Hickman was promoted to Captain. Allover engraving and with carved gold mounts and ivory grips. There is a peso on each side, an eagle with a ruby eye on the left side and a steer head with a ruby eye on the right. "Captain Tom R. Hickman / Co. B State Ranger Force" is inscribed on the backstrap and butt. S/N 342779. Matching set with #1158. |
