Lee Roy Young was born on January 8, 1947 and was raised by his grandparents just outside Del Rio, Texas. Young joined the Texas DPS in 1973 with the Texas Highway Patrol, also working in the Criminal Intelligence Service. He promoted to Ranger in 1988, and his Ranger specializations included forensic hypnosis. He attained the rank of Sergeant and served in Company B in Dallas and McKinney. During his Ranger service he received several citations for his exemplary work, including from the FBI, Grayson County Sheriff's Office, and the Highland Park Police Dept. He retired from the Rangers in 2003, and also served in the U.S. Navy, and as a private investigator and consultant after his retirement. |
