Notes	Roy Doyle Scott was born Sept. 1, 1934 to Ferry and Leroy Scott in Coke County, Texas. He attended Howard County Junior College, where he studies Personnel Management and History, before joining the US Army in Dec. 1956. After two years in the Army, he worked in the oilfields before joing Texas DPS in 1961 as a Highway Patrolman. He also worked security detail for the Governor's Mansion during that time. He promoted to the Rangers in 1969, serving in Co. B in Greenville. In 1972, he was found to have a brain tumor, and despite several operations, he succumbed to the cancer on April 4, 1974.
