Jim Miller joined the Texas DPS with the Texas Highway Patrol in 1975. He promoted to the Texas Rangers in 1987, serving in Companies A, F, C, and HQ, in Georgetown, Houston, Lubbock, and Austin. He attained the rank of Assistant Chief and was also awarded a citation for his role in the investigation of the Branch-Davidian incident outside Waco. He retired from the Rangers in 2008, taking on contract work, and embracing his role as grandpa. |
