He was born July 8, 1932 in Wellington, Texas to parents Clarence and Helen Hodges who preceded him in death. Charlie was a Navy veteran who served in the Korean War. In March of 1956 he became a Texas Department of Public Safety Officer. Then in 1968 he became a Texas Ranger serving in Company E in Midland and retired in 1987. He worked for the Midland County Sheriffs Office for over 5 years. Then went on to work for the U.S. Marshals Service in 1995 doing court security until 2002.
