Discharge letter for Samuel McFall dated September 16, 1844. It reads, "Know all men by these presents that the bearer Samuel McFall was enrolled in Capt. J. G. W. Pierson's Company the 20th October A. D. 1842 -- And has faithfully performed his duty as private up to the present date & is hereby honorably discharged from the service of the Republic of Texas -- Given under our hands this 16th day of September One Thousand Eight Hundred and forty four", and signed by William S. Fisher, Colonel. On the back reads "We do hereby certify that the within named Saml. McFall was enrolled as a mounted Ranger and furnished his own horse, arms & equipments, etc., etc.", and signed by William S. Fisher, Colonel. This item has been archivally framed |
